Focus on Energy Logo

New Focus On Energy Incentives!
Effective for Existing Businesses until 12.31.12.

Incentive Highlights:

The application is solely for existing projects and no longer applies to new construction.

The grace period to submit a project once completed has been extended from 45 to 60 days. Note that the program does expire on December 31, 2012, at which time all forms need to be submitted and postmarked.

There are now contacts listed on the bottom of page one to direct large energy users ($60,000+ per month), as well as chain stores and franchises to incentives tailored specifically for them.

Purchase of qualifying products at retailers that are offered with Focus on Energy discounts already calculated into the price are not eligible for this program.

To qualify for the LED downlight incentive, qualifying products must now be listed by Energy Star specifically for use in commercial applications.

Incentives for relamping existing 4ft T8 lamps with qualifying 25W and 28W reduced wattage lamps has been increased from $1 to $2 per lamp, while the incentive for reduced wattage 8ft T8 lamps has been reduced from $1 per lamp to $.50 per lamp.

A low ballast factor option has been added for projects that entail replacing of retrofitting 8ft T12 fixtures. This measure requires the customer’s signature that they accept the lower light levels than accompany this measure.

A delamping measure has been added, which can garner $1 per lamp for a permanent reduction of the number of lamps required in a fixture. This incentive works in conjunction with the high performance T8 measures.

The 400 watt HID changeout to a 6-lamp T8 high bay has been reduced to $50 per fixture. In addition, a fixture specification sheet is now required, with the manufacturer’s statement that the replacement fixture is designed for high bay or low bay applications.

Daylighting controls incentives have been removed from the program.

A new control category aimed at reducing outdoor HID draw has been added. Projects that utilize electronic ballasts capable of reducing power consumption and light output via a control system are eligible for incentives.

The stand-alone LED incentive program has been incorporated into this application. LED replacement lamps, as well as outdoor measures now appear on this form.
